Today, US Fleet Tracking Corp. is a global powerhouse, providing vehicle tracking services in over 120 countries through a network of over 400 dealers under more than 80 different product names. Headquartered in Oklahoma City, US Fleet Tracking employs more than 30 team members and has grown to become the largest live vehicle tracking company in the world, bringing tens of millions of dollars each year into the local economy.

Understanding the broader business applications for his GPS tracking technology, in 2005 Hunter founded US Fleet Tracking Corp. along with Cindy Hunter. By making the tracking system accessible through a web-based interface, it no longer required the installation of mapping software and could be delivered to a much larger public market in higher volume. As a direct result, US Fleet Tracking products have proliferated the market to become a necessary tool for businesses large and small.

Hunter left MEMS in 2000 and founded Pinnacle Labs Corp., developing 911 Emergency Dispatch systems and in-car police systems which implemented GPS vehicle tracking, navigation, pre-record DVR, NCIC, messaging and a host of other features.

From 1993-2000, Hunter created instant messaging and push-media products for the Internet while dabbling in GPS, remote video and wireless technologies. In 1997, he accepted a position as IT Director for Metropolitan Emergency Medical Services (MEMS) ambulance service based in Little Rock, Ark. While there, he developed a number of technologies which would later prove key to vehicle tracking on a commercial scale.

In 1989, Hunter began development of DarkStar, the first computer bulletin board system to deliver rich media content (graphics, audio and video) through a mouse-driven graphical user interface (GUI) over dial-up grade telephone lines. A derivative of Hunter's original DarkStar markup language and GUI transport mechanisms became the basis for the early NCSA Mosaic HTML web browser.

In 1986, Hunter left Crafton/Tull for his first taste of self-employment, founding Data Management Consultants. From 1986 through 1989, DMC produced seven different models of IBM PC-compatible personal computers and also developed custom software solutions for business. By 1989, Hunter had also acquired a local telephone service company and co-founded a real estate development company.

After leaving Wal-Mart in 1984, Hunter returned to former employer Crafton/Tull Engineering as IT Director.

Concurrent to his employment at Wal-Mart, Hunter independently developed the first multi-user "chat" system (CBSim, 1982) available for privately-owned computer bulletin board systems, one of the nation's first online Real Estate MLS database systems (OmniList, 1983) and the computer industry's first CASE Tool 4GL code generator (ThunderCode, 1984).

Jerry Hunter, co-founder and CEO of US Fleet Tracking, has been an innovator and technologist since the dawn of the computer industry. Under Sam Walton's leadership, Jerry developed the first large-scale retail application utilizing bar code technology, two of the first wireless data communications protocols, and the first commercial large-scale hand-held computing and laser scanning technologies in Wal-Mart's Information Technology Center.

Anything that moves... anywhere.
